White Glove Moving and Storage will be there to help you when
it's time for your big move, but it's important to remember that
we're only half the equation. This is your move, and you have
the final say in how it goes, so it helps to know exactly what's
going on. With this in mind we've provided you with a few helpful
tips and hints to make your big day even easier.
- Try to have someone there when the movers are packing, loading, and unloading your things, they don't know what has the most value to your family or business.
- If you can't be there personally, at least try to have a friend there.
- If you've had a fight with your friend at least try to have a very mean looking dog, it cant hurt.
- It may seem silly but it's important to know where you are moving to. Many communities may have restrictions that keep you from moving in at a certain time or on certain days.
- Make sure you are aware of any restrictions when you schedule your move.
- Try to remember that our estimates are only as current as the information that you give us. We're not fortune tellers and our estimates don't cover unforeseen events like traffic, or alien abduction.
- Lastly, if it is possible, try and pack early, because you are going to be charged by the hour.
- Get plenty of rest the day before, you want to be able to enjoy your new locale, not faint the minute you get there!
- Before you leave for good make sure to do one final inspection of the house, you wouldn't want to forget anything important like a painting, or a child.
- Don't forget to fill out a change of address form, no matter how much you love your old residence you'll have to let go of that old address.
